suprisingly, no!

the thing is -- the concept of sale is pretty american. in europe they have legal day to have sales - to protect ma and pa i think. in east asia (not sure bout japan) they think expensive is good in terms of quality and satisfaction of being able to pay so much for something. i've been thinking about it and it's prob cause they live with so much cheap shitty stuff and so they really have much more experience with bad experiences coupled with low prices. they make a lot of stuff here and china, but a lotta stuff stays here, especially the shitty stuff...

it was interesting, i was at the local SOE superstore. a smaller wal-mart. i had to buy a multi power adapter. i ended up deciding to buy the most expensive one (120.000vnd --- 16k = 1usd) because i am concerned about shit burning and figured that in VN price really reflects quality....at least within that context.

levi jeans here can cost up to 4.000.000vnd or over 250usd, but the observed levis was made in china.....as an american, i figured that was too expensive and the price premium seemed to only be justified by the label and not so much the quality. in fact, i am wearing levi shorts made in cambo. bought from a meryvns' i think. man, i gotta start a blog or something. in fact, i will now. that way, i am scale sharing my experience here....so, please see....
